Kinalo help
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Kinalo
Ask how your intakes perform and prepare follow-up campaigns from Claude or ChatGPT. Everything you save is reviewed and approved in Kinalo.
Last updated November 5, 2026
What it does
- Reads completion rates, drop-off by step, traffic sources and comparisons between intake versions.
- Reads the live intake’s steps and copy, and how recovery emails are doing.
- Saves and revises recovery email campaign drafts for your team to review in Kinalo.
- Tells you which Kinalo permissions the connection has right now.
Nothing is approved, launched or sent from the assistant. Results are totals for groups of people, and counts that could point at a few people are withheld.
Before you start
You need a Kinalo account that belongs to the workspace you want to connect. Saving campaign drafts also needs a workspace role that can edit campaigns, and editing intakes needs a role that can edit intakes.
Connect
Once Kinalo is listed in your assistant’s directory, choose Kinalo there and select Connect. Until then, add it with this address:
https://mcp.kinalo.health/mcp
- Claude: open Customize > Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the address.
- ChatGPT: add a custom MCP server in ChatGPT’s settings and paste the address. Whether custom servers are available depends on your ChatGPT plan.
Then:
- Sign in to Kinalo when the assistant asks.
- Choose the workspace to connect.
- Choose what to allow. Reading intake content is always included. Analytics and results, campaign drafts and your own earlier Kinalo AI conversations are each off unless you turn them on.
- Select Allow. You return to the assistant, connected.
Permissions
- Intake content (always on): intakes, their steps and copy, draft versions, and the workspace’s saved notes and team rules.
- Analytics and results: funnel, behavior, experiment, recovery and campaign results across the workspace, as totals for groups of people.
- Campaign drafts: save and revise campaign drafts and propose team rules. A person reviews and approves them in Kinalo.
- Your Kinalo AI history: your own earlier Kinalo AI conversations, only yours.
- Intake editing: granted when you connect if your workspace role can edit intakes. Edits are saved to drafts and are never published from the assistant.
Ask “Which Kinalo permissions does this connection have right now?” to see them from the assistant.
Things to ask
- “Which step of our weight management intake loses the most people this month?”
- “Which traffic source has the lowest completion rate on that intake?”
- “Save a recovery email draft for people inactive for 48 hours on the Plan and payment step.”
- “Change only the subject of that draft to “Your plan is still waiting”.”
- “Which Kinalo permissions does this connection have right now?”
Each saved draft comes with a link. Open it to review the audience, message and timing, then approve and launch it in Kinalo.
Change or disconnect
In Kinalo, open Settings > Connections > Assistants. You can turn each optional permission on or off, or disconnect. Disconnecting stops access immediately. Removing Kinalo in Claude doesn’t end the connection in Kinalo, so disconnect it here as well.
Troubleshooting
- “A permission is off.” Turn it on in Settings > Connections > Assistants, then ask again.
- A count shows as withheld. The group is small enough that showing it could point at a few people. Kinalo never estimates it.
- A filter is not available. The assistant says which part of the request Kinalo cannot express and saves nothing until you choose.
- ChatGPT shows an old tool list. Refresh the tools in the connection settings.
